Clinical Supervision & Assessment Consultation

At Divergent Within, I offer supervision and consultation for psychologists seeking support in the assessment and formulation of adult ADHD and autism presentations, particularly where presentations are nuanced, internalised, high-masking, or diagnostically complex.

These consultations are designed to support clinicians in developing confidence, clinical reasoning, and neurodiversity-affirming assessment practices while maintaining ethical and evidence-based standards of care.

Areas of support may include:

  • Adult ADHD and autism assessment formulation

  • Differential diagnosis and diagnostic complexity

  • High-masking and internally experienced presentations

  • Integrating collateral information and psychometric data

  • Neurodiversity-affirming report writing

  • Functional impact and diagnostic threshold considerations

  • Clinical interviewing and assessment structure

  • Complex presentations involving trauma, anxiety, mood difficulties, or substance use

Supervision is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in both current evidence and real-world clinical practice. The aim is not simply to “confirm” diagnoses, but to deepen formulation skills, strengthen clinical confidence, and support thoughtful, person-centred assessment processes.

Consultation may be appropriate for:

  • Early career psychologists

  • Psychologists transitioning into assessment work

  • Clinicians seeking support with complex or uncertain presentations

  • Practitioners wanting to strengthen neurodiversity-affirming approaches in assessment and reporting

Services may include:

  • Individual supervision

  • Case consultation

  • Report review and feedback

  • Secondary clinical consultation

  • Professional development and training
