A bit about your assessor

Hi, I’m Dr Gabrielle Klepfisz (but please, call me Gabi). I am a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist who has undertaken specialised training to provide neurodiversity-affirming adult autism and ADHD assessments, with a particular focus on identifying individuals who do not fit the stereotypical presentations of what autism and ADHD “should” look like.

My interest in autism and ADHD began with my entry into motherhood. When my son was two, I realised he had sensory processing differences, and after a few months, I became curious about what else might be going on in his internal world. At three he was diagnosed with autism, and as a mother (who is also a psychologist), of course I began a deep dive into all things autism-related.

My lived experience soon became a professional interest and I learned very quickly that everything I thought I knew about autism needed be to unlearned. Autism doesn’t have a look. For many, it is primarily an internal experience. And as I have learned, the same can go for ADHD!

With a particular interest in identifying highly masked and internalised presentations, I am passionate about supporting adults who want to explore their neurotype more deeply.

~ Perhaps you’re unsure if you are neurodivergent because your traits don’t align with the formal criteria (hey, you’re not alone there!) ~

~ Perhaps you’ve been dismissed; told there’s no way you can be autistic or have ADHD because of [insert some arbitrary, outdated criterion - e.g., the ability to provide eye contact or the fact you’ve completed university] ~

~ Perhaps you feel missed, misunderstood, and things feels so much harder for you than they seem to be for others ~

~ Perhaps you already self-identify as neurodivergent (which is valid by the way!) but you want to confirm this with a formal diagnosis ~

Whatever your reason, I’d love to support you on the journey to discovering how your brain works and how you can best support yourself.

I truly understand the importance of creating a safe, supportive space to explore these questions in a collaborative manner. You are the expert on yourself, and most importantly, on your internal experience.
